Important dates

Advanced Material Science and Engineering is the study of all materials we see around us every day and forms a bridge between almost all fields in sciences and engineering. Material TECH 2022 aims to proclaim knowledge and share new ideas amongst the professionals, industrialists and students from research areas of Metallurgy, Materials Science and Mechanical Engineering to share their research experiences and indulge in interactive discussions and technical sessions at the event. It will allow delegates to have scientific and technological issues addressed by recognized global experts who are up to date with the latest developments in the field and provide information on new materials, techniques and technologies. This Conference will allow interactive panel discussions and sessions by renowned keynote speakers, plenary speeches, short lectures, oral paper and poster presentations, company presentations with career guidance sessions. Comprehensive sessions are planned to address recent advancements and new strategies for development of new materials and technologies for global requirements with an objective to install a dialogue between industries and academic organizations and knowledge transfer from research to industry.

Considering COVID, participants are given option to present their oral talks/presentations and posters related to their research work either in online mode/recorded presentations.

National Institute of Technology, Raipur situated in the capital of Chhattisgarh, has proven to be "avant-grade' in the field of science and technology over past few decades in this region. With sweet memory of foundation ceremony by our president

Hon'ble Dr. Rajendra Prasad on 14th September, 1956. The institute started with two departments namely Metallurgical and Mining Engineering. Later the inauguration of the Institute building was done by our Prime Minister Hon'ble Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru on 14th March 1963. From 1st December 2005, the institute has become the National Institute of Technology. It is well connected with Mumbai, Delhi and all metro cities by regular flights and is on the main Howrah-Mumbai railway route. The institute is 5 km from the Raipur railways station and 18 km from airport on NH-6, the Great Eastern Road.

The Department of MME is one of the premier and oldest branches of the Institute established in 1956. The Department serves to cater the need of trained manpower to the metallurgical industries located in and around the central part of India since the time of its inception. The department provides an outstanding research environment and offers academic programs leading to award of B. Tech and PhD degrees.

Department offers undergraduate program (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering and three postgraduate programs (M.Tech.) in Thermal Engineering, Design Engineering and Industrial Engineering & Management. It is one of the largest departments of the institute. Department also offers Ph.D. program in all relevant discipline of Mechanical Engineering including Design, Production, Thermal and Industrial Management.
